Project & Programme Management Training
Project Management Training
Project management can be taught from two main perspectives:
- that of the organisation for whom the project will achieve an objective for; and
- that of the organisation charged with delivering the project “deliverables.” (We refer to this as supplier project management.)
The focus of the project management training differs slightly depending on which perspective you are from. For perspective a) you may be more concerned about the “justification” and continued justification of the project (sometimes referred to as the business case) whilst from perspective b) you may be more concerned about ensuring that you deliver the project outputs, on time and within the fixed price quoted to the customer.
Both perspectives can be taught.
Accredited PRINCE2® Project Management training courses are also available.
Programme Management Training
A vision for the organisation needs to be defined in terms of a “blue print” – a clearly defined picture describing the processes, organisational structure, technology and information requirements at a point in time in the future. Programme planning subsequently, outlines the various projects necessary to achieve the blueprint and hence the vision. The programme manager and the business change manager need to work extremely closely, reporting to a Senior Responsible Officer (SRO). Programme Management training is relevant for individuals charged with managing a programme of change.
